RaVonda Turks, PhD

Founder | Longevity & Vitality Specialist

For more than two decades, RaVonda Turks has dedicated her career to helping people become stronger, healthier, and more confident in their bodies.

But CRAVE was not created overnight.

It was built through years of experience, thousands of client relationships, countless transformations, and a deep understanding of what happens to the body as we age.

More than a decade ago, RaVonda became one of the first entrepreneurs in the Fayetteville community to bring a boutique-style fitness experience to the area. She also founded the community's first healthy food truck and meal-prep store, creating greater access to nutritious food and a healthier lifestyle beyond the gym.

Over the years, she had the privilege of helping thousands of people reach and achieve goals they once thought were beyond their reach.

And through those years of working closely with people, something became increasingly clear.

The needs of our community were changing.

The adults she had been serving were getting older. Their goals were evolving. Their bodies were changing. And the traditional approach to fitness was not always changing with them.

What worked at 25 could not always be approached the same way at 45.

What worked at 35 could not always be approached the same way at 55.

RaVonda began seeing a growing need for a fitness environment specifically designed around the realities of aging—not simply a place to exercise, but a place where adults 40+ could receive guidance that considered the whole picture.

Training needed to become more intentional.

Nutrition needed to reflect changing needs.

Recovery needed to become part of the strategy rather than an afterthought.

And understanding the human body as it ages became increasingly important—not only in terms of physical performance, but in understanding the internal health factors that influence how a person feels, moves, recovers, and ultimately experiences life.

That realization became the foundation for CRAVE Fitness Studio.

CRAVE was created specifically for adults 40+ because RaVonda believes this stage of life deserves a different approach.

Not less intensity.

Smarter intensity.

Not less ambition.

A more intentional path toward the goals that matter now.

Not simply focusing on how the body looks, but understanding how it functions, how it responds, how it recovers, and how to support it for the years ahead.

Her philosophy is rooted in a simple truth:

Your body is not the same at 40 as it was at 20—and your fitness experience shouldn't be either.

Today, CRAVE brings together decades of experience in personal training, nutrition, functional wellness, and longevity-focused fitness to create an elevated experience specifically designed for the 40+ adult.

RaVonda holds a PhD in Integrative Medicine,  Board-Certified Holistic Health Practitioner and Doctor of Natural Medicine  along with advanced credentials in Personal Training, Clinical Nutrition, Functional Medicine, Sustainable Nutrition, Clinical Herbalist, in addition to other health related certifications and degrees.

Yet her greatest qualification may be the years spent listening to people.

Listening to what they wanted.

Listening to what was holding them back.

Watching their bodies change.

Celebrating their victories.

And understanding that health and fitness become even more meaningful when they are connected to the life a person wants to live.

For RaVonda, being a pioneer in the community was never simply about being first.

It was about recognizing a need and being willing to answer it.

More than a decade ago, she saw opportunities to bring healthier choices and boutique fitness to the community when those options were limited.

Today, she sees another need:

A place where adults 40+ don't have to feel overlooked by an industry that often speaks to younger bodies and younger goals.

A place where experience matters.

Where training is intentional.

Where nutrition and recovery are part of the conversation.

Where strength is viewed as an investment in independence, confidence, vitality, and the quality of life ahead.

That place is CRAVE.

Because getting older shouldn't mean doing less with your life.

It should mean becoming more intentional about how you care for the body that allows you to live it.

Your strongest years are still ahead.

And CRAVE was created to help you make the most of them.
